summer saving...or spending

I moved home this summer to work.
I need to pay my car off and save money to live on for the next year and a half in Rexburg.
I also want to buy a few things while I am home.

Goal purchase #1
I don't bike, but I really want to start.
Two of my brothers do and now my sister-in-law does as well.
This Fuji Women's bike looks like a gem to me, plus it is in my favorite color!
My brother says the color doesn't matter....false.

Goal purchase #2

I would like to purchase a slackline.
Even though I am terrible at slacklining.
 I have no balance.
Despite this, it is a must have for the summer.
Plus if I had my own slackline I would be able to practice and not suck so bad.

Goal purchase # 3

I want to do the IF half marathon.
Let's face it, I am not going to do the whole marathon...
but the half, that is doable. Count me in.

springtime

Yesterday was a wonderful day!
As I headed off to campus, the sun was shining and the sky was the most sky blue color that has ever been seen. I kept my head up as I was walking in the clear morning air and just thought about how beautiful the world is that we live in.
I felt the warmth of the sun resting upon my face and I couldn't help but smile the whole way to class. I walked under the leafless trees by Biddulph Hall admiring the jet black crows swooping down from branch to branch.
As the day continued, the first signs of a warm spring manifested themselves hour after hour. Walking back to my apartment I noticed how many people had come out of their winter dens to enjoy the sunny weather. There were people everywhere, cars lined the park, daring slack-liners tried conquering long lines, people were happy and it radiated into my being just like the sun radiated warmth into the air and onto my skin.
When I got home my lovely roommates had moved the couch out onto the walkway outside our 2nd story door. It was located just perfectly to catch the rays of the setting sun. That is where we all stayed for quite sometime last night. It was perfect and was a reassurance that the word is beautiful! It is full of lovely people and things waiting for us to learn from and experience them.
